Editorial Policy

How Steady handles authorship, sourcing, clinical review, article updates, corrections, product mentions, and wellness disclaimers.

Purpose

What this policy covers

Steady publishes educational content about stress, nervous system regulation, emotional regulation, rumination, relationships, and related wellness topics. Our goal is to make complex ideas understandable without presenting educational material as diagnosis or individualized treatment.

Authorship

Every article should have an accountable author

Educational articles identify the person responsible for the published piece. Winnie Taiwo currently authors Steady's primary educational articles. Her author profile explains her background and role.

Steady Technologies, Inc. is the publisher. A company name is not used as a substitute for an individual author when an individual is responsible for the article.

Sources

How we select evidence

More detail is available in our Research Standards & Evidence.

Clinical review

Clinical review is attributed only when it actually happened

Not every Steady article is clinically reviewed. When a licensed clinician personally reviews a specific article, the article will identify the reviewer, credentials, and review date. We do not use an advisor's title to imply blanket clinical approval of the site.

Sharae Hanley, LCSW, serves in a limited clinical advisory role and may provide review or consultation on selected work. Her name will appear as a clinical reviewer only on material she actually reviewed.

Dates

Publication, updates, and review dates

We do not change dates solely to make old content appear new.

Corrections

What happens when something is wrong

Material factual or sourcing errors should be corrected when identified. When a correction meaningfully changes the interpretation of an article, the page's last-updated date should reflect that revision.

Product mentions

We distinguish education from promotion

Steady's educational content may link to relevant Steady tools when there is a natural connection. Product links do not change the evidentiary standard for the surrounding health or wellness information, and external research is not presented as proof that the Steady product itself has been clinically validated.

Medical and wellness disclaimer

Educational support is not medical care

Steady provides wellness support and educational resources. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or emergency care. People with persistent, severe, or worsening symptoms should seek appropriate professional care.
